FO: Lace Ribbon Scarf

I have a knitting FO to show off! I finished the Lace Ribbon scarf last week! Things were touch-and-go there for a while with this scarf, because it was knitting up way too thick the first time around. I ended up frogging it once I was several inches in, and I was able [...]

I knit up another Just Enough Ruffles scarf a couple weeks ago just in time for Mother’s Day (phew!). I freaking love this pattern! It knits up super quick, is easy to memorize, and produces such dramatic results. Oh, and it calls for Mmmmmmalabrigo worsted. What’s not to love?!
(And, I have to say, while it’s not really [...]

An update

I’ve been feeling a bit over-extended, and over-burdened, lately and I completely let my blog fall by the wayside. I pretty much took an internet hiatus there for a while, staying off Ravelry, Flickr, and Facebook. But now I’m back. And recommitted to blogging. Because it still has its place. And it’s mine. So, let’s [...]

Buttoned up

It always surprises me how different, and finished, an FO looks when you put buttons on it.

I spent over an hour at JoAnn yesterday looking for buttons before I realized the perfect ones were at home. (In my button stash. I officially have a button stash. When the hell did that happen??)

Finally!

As much as I love knitting rollbrim hats, I never knit one for me! I have a LOT of hair, so I can’t wear any hats that easily. Last week, though – I had an epiphany. I knit a hole into the hat so I could pull a ponytail through. Genius. (Before I start patting [...]

FO: Just Enough Ruffles

I broke one of my knitting resolutions last week and it felt sooooooooo good! I had told myself I was only going to KNIT FOR MYSELF this year, but after seeing Janet’s version of this scarf, I had to knit one too. It’s a little too “ruffly” for me, though, so this will be shipped off [...]

Slippers for my sweetie

I finally finished T’s slippers and got around to taking FO photos of them in daylight the other day. I actually finished them when he was in the middle of fighting off a pretty nasty cold last weekend, but then they took THREE DAYS to dry after felting (thanks, moist PacNW winters!).
I am suuuuper pleased with [...]

It’s a swap!

I participated in my first knitting swap this past fall (a cowl swap! woot!) with some girls I met through Flickr, and seeing as how I’ve gotten to know myself pretty well over the years, I am actually kinda surprised I participated. Because… me? Well, I like to over analyze and freak out about stuff. (This [...]

I knitted something ugly also

I didn’t want Misplacedpom to feel bad, so I went ahead and knitted something ugly also.

Actually, I had really high hopes for these mittens. I found the colorway after finishing up my Kolenya marathon in December, and I knew I had to knit just. one. more. pair. for me. I didn’t take a [...]

It’s a wrap!

Literally.
I finished the Hemlock Ring Blanket for my Gramma in December. Not quite in time for Christmas, but since I was pretty lax about the whole holiday in general, I didn’t really sweat it. I got an email from her this past weekend (she’s so hip!) letting me know she got it and so now [...]
