So, my work got cancelled today (woot!) and we actually got out of the house and had lunch at a local diner (double woot!) but then we spent all afternoon SHOVELING OUR ROOF.
I didn’t even know this was something people did, but apparently when you have a house built in the 1950s with a flat roof and a weather forecast for more snow or maybe even rain, this is something you get to do. With a broom.
The one nice thing about shoveling a roof, though, is that you can just pitch the snow over the edge of the house (careful not to hit the deck, or the grill, or the bushes, or the truck, of course).
Finally, this last photo is for my dad, just to show him HOW MUCH SNOW we got here. It’s crzazy, ya’ll!
After looking at these pictures I think I have figured out where your house is. One of your views is the same as what I see out my kitchen window.
Can you believe this snow? I have to make a trip to the bookshop and the bank tomorrow, you may see me slip sliding past your house.
What? Work got canceled?
Who is that masked shoveler??
